My Lunatic Instinct, 2015
Moon-tracking contraption, live moon projection on 26.5 feet diameter convex floor.

In this work a 'live' moon was tracked on three full moon days and projected on the convex surface of the gallery floor, creating an experiential space for the viewers to take a walk on. The approach was to explore beyond the obvious poetry of the expression, to also examine in parallel, the role of a constructed image in shaping our experience. The illuminated surface of the moon provoked meditation on the nature of representation, on what we really mean when we speak of a “live image”, seeming to ask whether what we end up seeing, is a mirror of reality or an entirely new reality.
